Shahla Sharifi is an associate professor of linguistics at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. She received her BA in TESOL, MA and Ph.D in general linguistics from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad where after graduation, she started working as a faculty member. Since then, she has published more than 100 papers in the domestic and foreign academic journals and presented more than 70 papers in the national and international conferences. She has been the supervisor and advisor of many ph.D dissertations and MA theses in different departments. Her teaching and research interests lie in the areas of typology, discourse analysis, neurolinguistics and cultural linguistics.
